Nan Quinlan Trustee

Since retiring from a thirty-year career in Human Resources and Organizational Development and
Training Nan has devoted her time to helping people transition into a new position or pursue a new
career interest and help people improve their health and well-being by teaching wellness and gardening
classes. Her position prior to retiring was with Taco Comfort-Solutions in Cranston where she managed
the Learning and Development Center and served as an HR training partner to corporate divisions.
She currently works part time as a consultant for Transition Solutions, a global career management
company where she works with clients on the next step in their career.
Loving the outdoors and with an interest in protecting our RI environment, Nan combines her love of
gardening and fitness by serving as a project leader volunteer in a community education and food
production project for the URI Master Gardener Program. She is a certified yoga teacher and recently
attained a certification as an Outdoor Mindful Leader Guide taking people on mindful walks in nature to
improve their well-being. Nan also represents the Town of Exeter on the Wild and Scenic Stewardship
Council working on projects in partnership with the National Park Service to protect and enhance the
seven rivers in the Wood Pawcatuck Watershed.
